ACME

The Acme P2 Pen and Watch were developed
as simple explorations in form, material and movement. The watch employs a simple steel rectangle, with back-screened crystal to create specific windows for each hand. The pen is machined from solid aluminum and
features a simple magnetic seal to hold the
cap at either end.

Adobe

Award-winning packaging for its flagship
Creative Suite product helped Adobe to emotionally reconnect with its audience of creative professionals. This success led to a design strategy that was extended to the company’s global visual and verbal design system, and in turn helped Adobe to double its market value between
2003 and 2007.

Autodesk

Autodesk creates prototyping and visualization software that lets creative professionals “experience it before it’s real.” Guided by this theme, a communications system was developed, comprising narrative, brand guidelines, application iconography and videos. The clarity of the new communications galvanized employees and customers by capturing, clarifying and celebrating the essence of the company.

Beats by Dr. Dre - Headphones

Beats by Dr. Dre is a brand of high performance headphones developed in partnership with the hip-hop artist and producer Dr. Dre and Interscope/Geffen/A&M chairman Jimmy Iovine. The product delivers incredible audio performance and iconic design to a new generation of audio enthusiasts. Products designed by Ammunition include: Beats Executive, Beats Solo, Beats Pro, Beats Mixr, Beats Studio, Beats Wireless and ur Beats.

Current TV

This groundbreaking cable network and multimedia brand from Al Gore and Joel Hyatt
is powered by user-generated content from
citizen journalists. The new identity, symbolizing “awaiting input,” was derived from the flashing cursor in the language of computing.
The simplicity of the design was imaginatively extended into broadcast animations and the
Web site user interface.

Dell

As part of an overall initiative to redefine its business and institutional product lines, Dell engaged Ammunition to develop design strategies to signal a new direction for its business lines. Dell introduced this system in their Latitude notebook and OptiPlex desktop lines, and in accessories like a projector. In another engagement, Ammunition also developed the design language for Dell’s Precision notebook line.

Fuego

Dubbed “an outdoor campfire for modernists,” Fuego upends the conventional notion of an outdoor grill and redefines it as a hub for social interaction. The family includes the Fuego 01 and 02, and the freestanding and customizable outdoor kitchen, Fuego Modular.

Fuego Element Grill

The Element grill by Fuego is an affordable, gas-powered grill that extends the design language of the award-winning Fuego 01 into a more mainstream product family. Simple, iconic in form and highly detailed, it features a high-powered dual-zone cooking system and four-different cook top options. Offering multiple colors and finishes in a clean profile and compact footprint, the Element is the barbecue redefined as style icon.

FICO

A new brand identity signaled Fair Isaac Corporation’s name change to FICO, a simplification of the organization’s identity in keeping with the service for which it is best known, the FICO Score. One bold logotype now stands for what was formerly a portfolio of multiple sub-brands, cementing FICO’s 50-year history as the de facto leader in decision management and analytics.

Kohler Honed White

Honed White is a new, vitreous china finish for Kohler that evokes the look and feel of honed stone. Ammunition designed a product book, brochure and other collateral for the launch. The work expresses subtle, tactile qualities and the near absence of color through visual metaphor and the paper stocks and finishes used in production.

HeartBeats by Lady Gaga

HeartBeats by Lady Gaga is the newest addition to the Beats by Dr. Dre headphone line. Developed in collaboration with music and fashion icon Lady Gaga, the in-ear headphones are at once fashion accessory and high-end audio product, reflecting their namesake’s unique style. The headphones are available in rose, black and silver, and feature powerful, high-resolution sound engineered by Monster Cable.

Nike

Developed for Nike’s equipment division, the ACG Communicator and Typhoon watch established the visual and functional direction for Nike’s growing line of hardware products. Both integrated an authentic athletic language with materials including rubber and cast aluminum.

Sony Vaio

Improved information and interface design led to a lift in conversions and a faster time-to-purchase for online customers of Sony’s high-quality Vaio laptops, one of the world’s top laptop brands.

Nook by Barnes & Noble

Working in collaboration with the world’s largest book retailer to extend it’s leadership in the competitive e-reader and tablet market, Ammunition developed the product concept and industrial design for Nook HD, the world’s lightest and highest-resolution 7-inch tablet and Nook HD+, the world’s lightest full HD tablet. The Nook HD and Nook HD+ are the latest addition to the Nook products, alongside the Nook Simple Touch line and the original Nook, all designed by Ammunition.

TimeTuner

TimeTuner is the most full-featured clock radio app available for the iPhone and iPod touch. Created by Ammunition for DreamSurface, TimeTuner’s elegant interface is bold, intuitive and modern. Features include over 30,000 international radio stations, powered by RadioTime®, location awareness, and a unique sleep timer scroll bar. TimeTuner is available worldwide on the iTunes App Store.

Autodesk

A world leader in 2D and 3D design software, Autodesk needed to create consistent brand recognition on the desktop, and facilitate ease-of-use across their portfolio of diverse products. A desktop icon system was developed to create desktop brand presence for Autodesk products, and a common design language was created for the iconography within its applications thereby reducing the learning curve as customers adopted new products within the Autodesk family of solutions.

Regen

Regen makes personal and home electronics powered by light. Beginning with a system of audio and lighting products designed around solar collection and smart power management, Regen empowers energy consumers to become producers. Beyond making beautiful and useful electronics, Regen is working to make self-powered products accessible to the widest audience possible, and to make self-power the preferred standard for personal and home electronics everywhere.

Kenmore

Established in 1927, Kenmore is America’s leading home appliance brand. To launch its new portfolio of product designs, we partnered with Kenmore to develop a new visual identity strategy and communication system. The system unites thousands of packaging SKUs, point-of-sale displays and marketing communications under a single smart, spirited and optimistic voice.

Hannspree

Part of Hannspree’s sports/lifestyle TV line, the Backboard is an NBA-themed LCD television that invokes cues derived from the basketball genre.
It features a transparent polycarbonate frame, LCD scoreboard style display, dome speakers and an aluminum frame structure.

Polaroid Grey Label

Grey Label is an original line of products developed by Ammunition in collaboration with Polaroid and its creative director Lady Gaga. Developed as fashionable tools for creative expression, each product combines original Polaroid authenticity and instant gratification with a renewed emphasis on self-expression, originality, sharing and artistry combined with forward looking technology. The line features three new products including the GL 20 Camera Glasses, GL30 Instant Digital Camera and GL10 Instant Mobile Printer.

Kohler Numi

Ammunition worked alongside Kohler to position the image and communicate the value of the Kohler Numi toilet for launch. Created to associate Kohler’s leadership position with the concept of gracious technology, Ammunition wrote, designed and produced a comprehensive launch campaign including video, photography, web, print, packaging and merchandising components. As a whole, the launch program strategy and communication pieces were created to magnify the sense of mystique, luxury and power residing within this truly new, and innovative product from Kohler.

Third Rail Mobility

The Third Rail System takes a fresh look at the issue of smartphone battery life. The Slim Case is the thinnest battery enabled case on the market for iPhone 4 with an optional slide-on Smart Battery that allows you to add power when you need it and remove it when you don’t. Multiple batteries can be stacked together for charging with a single adapter or the Smart Battery can function as a standalone backup battery to power other devices via USB.

Heavy Hitter

Created for the Jyu Mang Manufacturing company, the Heavy Hitter line of hammers creates a new aesthetic for tools in the home.
It features a bicolor, co-molded rubber grip,
cast steel handle and head, and rubber wall protector detail for pulling nails.

Coke Freestyle

Coca-Cola set out to re-imagine the soda fountain experience by dramatically increasing the few typical flavors to over 100 options. We partnered with Coke to create a touch interface for customers that simplifies the selection process to a few delightful taps – while simultaneously transforming the screen to reflect the customers preferred brand. The system includes a maintenance mode for monitoring critical functions.

Teemo

Teemo’s goal is to bring “Fitness fun with friends” to the large, stressed-out and underserved portion of the population who want to exercise, but don’t. Conceived, funded, designed, developed and launched by Ammunition in partnership with Bonnier R&D, Teemo is a fitness adventure game that combines proven training techniques, social connection, and entertaining adventures to help people get (and stay) moving.

WIMM One

WIMM One is a wrist-based companion for people who desire more control over their smart devices and notifications. The challenge was to design a fully integrated wristband and module that could compete with the elegance of high-end luxury watches in a modern and fresh way. Pair it with your smartphone or use it as a Wi-Fi enabled computer with a carousel of Android-based apps that keep critical information available on the go.

Beats by Dr. Dre - Speakers

Beats by Dr. Dre is a brand of high performance loudspeakers developed in partnership with the hip-hop artist and producer Dr. Dre and Interscope/Geffen/A&M chairman Jimmy Iovine. The product delivers incredible audio performance and iconic design to a new generation of audio enthusiasts. Products designed by Ammunition include: Beats Pill, Beatbox and Beatbox Portable.

Hotel Jen

Hotel Jen was named after a Chinese character that signifies the Confucian ideal of love and goodwill towards people. Business strategy, positioning, visual identity and interior design served to deliver this new two-star brand from Shangri-La to a growing class of global entrepreneurs and travelers.

FreeMonee

FreeMonee is an early-stage digital media marketing service that brings underwriting science and cash incentives together in ways that connects customers, retailers and banks. We worked with FreeMonee to develop a re-launch of their brand which included new positioning, messaging and graphic identity. The results clarified and differentiated the brand by moving far away from the caveat-filled world of loyalty cards and points schemes and moving towards a straightforward offer and a promise of “Gifts that get you.”

HP

The Design For Brand program defined HP’s
brand direction relative to product design
and constructed a new design language that
would communicate core HP values. The
language concept communicated ideas of
technical excellence and humanistic qualities
into prototypes and design tools for the
worldwide design team to utilize.

Kohler Tradeshow

The concept of ‘livable beauty’ was created for
the tradeshow experience for Kohler, the iconic
American manufacturing and design company.
Brought to life through a memorable visual
design system, it communicated the company’s
significant heritage and leadership in
contemporary product design for the kitchen
and bathroom.

Kohler Karbon

Kohler is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of products for the kitchen and bathroom. Karbon – the world’s first carbon fiber kitchen faucet – was introduced to the world with an inspiring campaign comprising launch strategy, naming, visual and editorial design, brand video and advertising, and helped Kohler to achieve exceptional sales results. Logitech

The Logitech Wingman series is a low cost
family of joystick controllers for gaming and
flight simulator enthusiasts. Developed first as
a wireless solution, then carried into a series of tethered controllers, the family brings authentic materials and details to the gaming and
cockpit genre, yet retains a technological
focus in its appearance.

Microsoft

Conducted jointly with the Microsoft Hardware Innovation Group, this program defined an approach to products that would leverage the
look and feel of the Vista operating system.
Five concepts were developed to evangelize the thinking across the PC hardware ecosystem.
Key aspects were employed in products brought
to market by Hewlett Packard, Dell, Toshiba
and others.

Panasonic

Commissioned by the Panasonic design team,
this design study explored different ideas for Panasonic’s strategic position in the media player market. Different concepts were developed to illustrate possible design strategies with an audio bias, content storage emphasis, or video orientation. Physical models and user interface mock-ups were created to communicate the conceptual directions.

RealD

RealD is a leading provider of 3D systems that create an amazing, immersive experience for filmgoers around the world. To translate this experience into the home theater, the challenge was to integrate their technology into a wearable package. Ammunition helped design a solution that fit a wide range of people, while looking
fresh, innovative and attractive.

San Francisco Ballet

America’s oldest ballet company marked its 75th anniversary with a contemporary new identity. The aim was to expand the Ballet’s audience while retaining its position as a respected leader. Choreographed and dynamic – like dancers on a stage – the logotype’s lettering is reminiscent of the kinetics of ballet itself.

Sandisk

A new identity and packaging system helped SanDisk broaden its reputation from a leader in flash memory products into a diverse consumer electronics company. The logotype was designed to work not only at larger sizes on packaging and in advertising, but in microscopic sizes for silk-screening onto memory chips.

Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts

The renowned luxury of Asia-Pacific’s leading hotel group wasn’t conveyed by its Web presence, which often served as a first point of contact for customers. A sophisticated new look and streamlined search and reservation process now deliver an experience to users worldwide that befits the hotel group’s distinctive brand of
Asian hospitality.

Zephyr

The Arc Collection by Zephyr is a line of high-performance, elegantly minimalist range hoods designed by Ammunition that deliver compact power and sophistication to the
kitchen. Based on simple forms and material layering, the hoods feature large, back-painted glass surfaces available in several colors as
well as customized versions.

Sprint

Originally conceived as a simplified phone for “Basic Communicators,” the Clarity Simple Phones are easy to use, well designed products with broad appeal. The brand proposition centered around a distinctive tone of voice and visual language,
and a suite of three phone concepts were created including a basic, media, and camera phone.

United Airlines

Working with a broader team at Pentagram
on the overall United brand, the Digital Brand Strategy was developed to work across all
points of the United Airlines customer journey
to help inform and enable the customer while traveling. Consistent, plain language and information structure were utilized with clean graphic treatment to create an experience that
is confident, simple and uniquely United across check-in, flight information and gate communication systems.

Wells Fargo

The new Wells Fargo ATM user interface presents a broader, yet simple means to allow customers to do more with their ATM interactions. Utilizing the entire touch screen surface, the new approach tracks tasks, allows the user to go backwards and forward, and summarizes activity for future use. This new approach will allow more in depth capability to ATM devices in the future.
