The Ammunition-designed Zephyr Horizon range hood has won Silver in the appliance category of Appliance Design magazine's 22nd annual Excellence in Design (EID) awards.

The Horizon hood is part of Zephyr's Arc collection, and pairs back-painted glass and stainless to form a striking, minimalist profile that brings both performance and sophistication to the kitchen.

The Excellence in Design Awards program is evaluated by an independent panel of design experts, and judged based on four criteria: aesthetics, human factors, innovation, and technical merits.

Appliance Design will feature the contest winners in its June 2009 issue.
