An expert jury judged from over 300 finalists from around the world at this year&#39;s competition, before selecting just over 20 gold medalists.  Award&#45;winning entries will be shown at a reception in the Autodesk Design Gallery in San Francisco.

i&#45;stage is an annual competition for next&#45;generation technologies, organized by the Consumer Electronics Association.  The competition is judged by industry experts and leading entrepreneurs.

First prize winners receive $40,000 and a booth at the 2010 CES in Las Vegas, the world&#39;s largest consumer technology tradeshow.

      <description>Barnes &amp; Noble has announced the new, Ammunition&#45;designed e&#45;Reader, “nook,” in a special event in New York.  Ammunition developed the industrial design, service design, user interface, accessory system and packaging for the new product.

The device is slim and compact, with minimal buttons and an easy to hold, contoured back.  nook features a color touch screen LCD for navigation and a six&#45;inch E Ink display for reading. Users will have access to over one million ebooks, newspapers and magazines via both wi&#45;fi and AT&amp;T&#39;s 3G network, as well as the ability to digitally lend books to others.  nook features expandable memory and is built on an Android operating system.

nook will be available at the end of November for $259.00.  Barnes &amp; Noble is taking pre&#45;orders now at www.nook.com and in stores beginning October 21, 2009.

      <description>Ammunition has been honored with the prestigious red dot Award: Communication Design 2009 for its design of the product catalog for Kohler&#39;s new &quot;Honed White&quot; finish.

The red dot design award is the largest and most renowned design competition in the world, with more than 11,000 submissions from 61 countries.  The &quot;red dot&quot; is awarded in three categories: product design, communication design and design concept.

The red dot award was established in 1955 and is evaluated by an international jury.  Winners are displayed at the red dot design museum in Essen, Germany.
